Chettinad College of Arts & Science was established in the year 2000 by Chettinad Educational Trust, following the footsteps of Dr Rajah Sir Annamalai Chettiar, Dr Alagappa Chettiar and Karumuthu Thiagaraja Chettiar to cater to the educational needs of aspiring students of Tiruchirappalli and its suburbs.

The College is started with a noble motto to impart knowledge in the field of arts and science and improve the caiber of the students. This prestigious institution in close association with like minded family of the noble trust members decided to offer quality education to students who hail from economically poor rurual background.

Chettinad College of Arts & Science is purely a self-financing institution affiliated to the Bharathidasan University. It offers job-oriented under graduate and postgraduate courses such as Computer Science, Commerce, Information Technology, Business Management and Mathematics. It has well equipped library and laboratories. The college is located in a sylvan surrounding situated at Trichy.
